Coffee showdown

I visited my favorite place to get work done, The Cup and decided to try something new. I have found a new appreciation for coffee. Generally, I am a tea drinker. I love my chai. So I decided to have the friendly staff make a pick for me. I was given two options and I could not decide... so I took a small cup of both.

White chocolate and maple were the staff picks.

I sampled the maple first. The aroma transported me back to the season of maple syrup making with my dad. Feel good nostalgia!!

I then took a sample of the white chocolate and this was a shot of the warm festive feel goods!

The friendly gals at the Cup asked which was my favorite... and are awaiting an answer, I am sure. 

I sipped one, then the other. Thinking maple was my favorite... then the white chocolate. I could not make up my mind. It was like comparing apples and oranges. 

The maple coffee is a hearty, full coffee flavor, rugged! The white chocolate is a smooth, refreshing bit of winter warmth. 

They both get my thumbs up! Sorry ladies, I cannot pick one or the other. I will be back to sample other flavors and maybe I will pick a fave!

Some of my other favorite items at the Cup are the pumpkin rolls, chocolate chip cookies and the chai.

A softball State of mind

A weekend ago a couple friends and I hopped in their truck and decided to drive to Happy Valley. Our destination, a Penn State softball game. I mean, how could you not be happy going to watch a Big 10 softball match up on a beautiful sunny day. We arrived on the campus, and I first noticed the aftermath of the Blue and White game. All of the grassy areas showed the effect of the many who were there the day before watching Penn State Football. After driving around a bit we finally found a spot to park and we were ready to enjoy the sun and a game. The Lady Lions were gearing up to sweep the series against  Rutgers. The Wait is over

 I am excited to finally announce  Thinking of You  is now available on Amazon for purchase!!! Four prints from this book are still on display at  The Keystone Theater  until May 5th and are available for purchase. When you receive a postcard or card from a loved one, your soul resonates with happiness. I think of them as glimmers of love… and I have always been a fan of sending them to my friends. Even though wifi has  increased the speed of communication, and social media makes   connecting or reconnecting with friends easier than ever, the postal  service remains my favorite courier of happiness.   This photo was taken at sunrise in Cincinnati.

Postcard Project

 I enjoy sending mail. A few years ago, when the world shut down, I began sending postcards as a way to let people know that I was thinking of them. To send them a little bit of positivity in a crazy situation. I had bins of photos (literally thousands) and I began making them into postcards and pairing those with inspirational quotes. I wanted these to be a beacon of light. When my supplies ran out (it took 3 years for that to happen) I began to order more supplies to keep the mail sprinklings going, my mailing list grew.  I have decided to publish a book based on my postcards. Over the last month I have been working on this and it is nearing completion. Cover reveal will be coming soon!!! The idea has been in my thoughts for a few years, but I have now decided to make it happen. I have learned a new program (InDesign by Adobe) that has been fun to work with on a design level.
