Tiptoe through tulips (or sunflowers)

 The sun is finally peaking it's head out for multiple days in a row and it is feeling good! Being out in nice weather is always a relaxing state (especially if I have my camera.) Unfortunately the day I chose to go to the tulip field was almost a wash out... but overcast skies and a little drizzle were not going to stop me from clicking my shutter and enjoying the day with my mom and sister.

I decided to make an adventure out to Brown Hill Farms and try my hand at capturing the tulips. I had been previously in the fall for the sunflowers. They did not disappoint! 

I highly recommend this place as a family fun, solo, with friends or anyone else (not your pet) you choose to share a fun day with. 

I will let my photos do the talking. I also added a few sunflowers from the fall venture.
































This swing is a prop and I was not actually swinging. While in the fields make sure to stick to the designated pathways. Be respectful of the tulip patch! No tulips were crushed during this photo.

A softball State of mind

A weekend ago a couple friends and I hopped in their truck and decided to drive to Happy Valley. Our destination, a Penn State softball game. I mean, how could you not be happy going to watch a Big 10 softball match up on a beautiful sunny day. We arrived on the campus, and I first noticed the aftermath of the Blue and White game. All of the grassy areas showed the effect of the many who were there the day before watching Penn State Football. After driving around a bit we finally found a spot to park and we were ready to enjoy the sun and a game. The Lady Lions were gearing up to sweep the series against  Rutgers. Postcard Project

 I enjoy sending mail. A few years ago, when the world shut down, I began sending postcards as a way to let people know that I was thinking of them. To send them a little bit of positivity in a crazy situation. I had bins of photos (literally thousands) and I began making them into postcards and pairing those with inspirational quotes. I wanted these to be a beacon of light. When my supplies ran out (it took 3 years for that to happen) I began to order more supplies to keep the mail sprinklings going, my mailing list grew.  I have decided to publish a book based on my postcards. Over the last month I have been working on this and it is nearing completion. Cover reveal will be coming soon!!! The idea has been in my thoughts for a few years, but I have now decided to make it happen. I have learned a new program (InDesign by Adobe) that has been fun to work with on a design level.
