Muscle Cars, Motorcycles and Brockways... Oh my!
As we have established by one of my last posts, I'm a bit of a car girl. When I heard that the Northeast Classic Car Museum was having a special exhibit on muscle cars, I was in! I have been to the museum in the past and think it's a great place for a family trip.
One thing I like about the museum is that along with the cars, they have models on display that are dressed up for that specific era.
As we wandered through the museum, hood ornaments were catching my eye. Cars used to (in my opinion) have a bit more character and personality than today's vehicles. The lines and shapes, the large round lights, fins and style options sure have changed.
Motorcycles were also a part of the special exhibit. Like this one made by aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss.
After spending a few hours at the museum we grabbed some lunch and headed to Cortland, NY to the CNY Living History Center. There were so many things to see at this museum, including Brockway Trucks, baseball and military memorabilia, a giant clock and much more.

It was interesting to learn that this clock survived a fire. |
