Sharing Morsels

Isn't that what life is about? Sharing little bits of ourselves. For so many embracing and accepting who we truly are is a hard task. We carry worry about being too much, not enough, to this or to that. We each hold a uniqueness that we shouldn’t hide away. Always be true to yourself and let your colors shine. Bloom! You are beautiful! Your gifts and talents are meant to be shared. Have courage and show me who you are!!! I know it is somewhat hard to allow yourself to be that vulnerable.  So don't be timid, allow your light to shine. You never know, that gift may brighten or change someone's day forever.

This photograph I have named "Timid," and as you can see the sunflower is not fully opened. Like us, it feels to vulnerable to bloom it's beautiful gift to us. But we know, when it does, it shines so bright and brings smiles. "Timid" will be on display (with a few other of my photographs) beginning April 14th at the Keystone Theater.

This little morsel is also an excerpt from my soon to be released book "Thinking of You"

There is a place

That exists in our mind,

Where logic takes hold

And makes us blind.

Wandering about…

Wishing not to see…

Rejecting the natural

God-given beauty

That exists within,

Not acknowledging it

Almost a sin.

Release your gift…

Let it shine…

Open your heart

And your mind.

Flourish.

Bloom.

Petals open wide -

From the world

Do not hide.
