The Wait is over

Image
I am excited to finally announce  Thinking of You  is now available on Amazon for purchase!!! Four prints from this book are still on display at  The Keystone Theater  until May 5th and are available for purchase. When you receive a postcard or card from a loved one, your soul resonates with happiness. I think of them as glimmers of love… and I have always been a fan of sending them to my friends. Even though wifi has  increased the speed of communication, and social media makes   connecting or reconnecting with friends easier than ever, the postal  service remains my favorite courier of happiness.   This photo was taken at sunrise in Cincinnati.

Sharing Morsels

Image
Isn't that what life is about? Sharing little bits of ourselves. For so many embracing and accepting who we truly are is a hard task. We carry worry about being too much, not enough, to this or to that. We each hold a uniqueness that we shouldn’t hide away. Always be true to yourself and let your colors shine. Bloom! You are beautiful! Your gifts and talents are meant to be shared. Have courage and show me who you are!!! I know it is somewhat hard to allow yourself to be that vulnerable.  So don't be timid, allow your light to shine. You never know, that gift may brighten or change someone's day forever. This photograph I have named "Timid," and as you can see the sunflower is not fully opened. Like us, it feels to vulnerable to bloom it's beautiful gift to us. But we know, when it does, it shines so bright and brings smiles. "Timid" will be on display (with a few other of my photographs) beginning April 14th at  the Keystone Theater . This lit

Be the Voice

Image
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. You may have noticed all of the blue pinwheels at the Bradford County Courthouse. These pinwheels are spinning to bring awareness. Let us all be the voice. You told me I was nothing At all. Stole my voice Before I could crawl. As I grew, Words as weapons Pierced like knives. Slammed against walls. Veins like ice. This home- Never a home. Walls built, Safer alone. You created for me No safe spaces To grow To be. You allowed The demons and monsters To follow me to bed. Now all this trauma Lives in my head. Those scars Cannot be seen. I cried for help, Neighbors didn't care. They said they were unaware- When flashing lights Filled the scene... Fill in the blanks You know what I mean. We must observe. We must care. We must take action- So these children  Do not bear, The burdens that come From abuse. ©ChristineLantz For more information and resources

Postcard Project

I enjoy sending mail. A few years ago, when the world shut down, I began sending postcards as a way to let people know that I was thinking of them. To send them a little bit of positivity in a crazy situation. I had bins of photos (literally thousands) and I began making them into postcards and pairing those with inspirational quotes. I wanted these to be a beacon of light. When my supplies ran out (it took 3 years for that to happen) I began to order more supplies to keep the mail sprinklings going, my mailing list grew.  I have decided to publish a book based on my postcards. Over the last month I have been working on this and it is nearing completion. Cover reveal will be coming soon!!! The idea has been in my thoughts for a few years, but I have now decided to make it happen. I have learned a new program (InDesign by Adobe) that has been fun to work with on a design level. I am excited to be able to share, in a book form, these images which I have paired with some of my poetry (bo
