Pie Iron Retreat

I believe that it is important to power down, slow down and energize. I am sure if you are reading this, you know this is a subject I touch on from time to time. Slowing down and powering off is a fantastic reset from stresses. Going somewhere with limited cell service is a great way to accomplish this!! Sitting around a campfire with good friends, embracing the moment, having conversations is such an enjoyment.  Always make sure you have a safe place to build your fire. Sitting around the fire with friends is made even more fun with delicious food! This was my first encounter with a Pie Iron.  Pizza  was on the menu! With simple ingredients you can enjoy a pizza treat! Add your own extras!! MMMM!! Getting out in nature is also a good way to wind down and grab some exercise. Kayaking and walking were mixed in with my down time.  While walking, take time to notice your surroundings. Check out the flowers, trees or wildlife.  Spotted this gazelle!! Adventure Awaits

 Adventures inspire the soul. I enjoy road-tripping. A two-week journey took me to visit friends, and along the way I allowed my inner self to relax and rejuvenate.  My first stop was in Cincinnati. I was blessed with an incredible sunrise.  I enjoyed some pulled pork nachos at Redneck Riviera  in Nashville before the next stop which ended up being in Arkansas.  As I drove, my thoughts were as full as my belly! Those nachos were delicious!! I listened to music, pondered life choices, sat in silence at times and just enjoyed being. This is the epitome of road trippin in my book! I spent one night in  Waco, TX . There were many things here to occupy my time for an afternoon. Dr. Pepper Museum Speed shop Texas Sports Hall of Fame Spreading kindness rocks! My friend at  SabbyStones  made all the kindness rocks for me to drop off along the way!! I had a fantastic photo day with a friend. These days are always my favorite!! We were in search of old rusty, crusty things, and would not be disa
